Cherry cake

My wife made a cake.. A cherry cake.. I normally is rather hesitating to cherry, but this cake was so incredible that I had to both take images of it and post it here.

Flower power

Took a little walk to the botanical garden in Uppsala and saw a marvellous field of yellow flowers. Couldn't resist the urge to make something fun of it... the result is this image.

Spider

We took a little trip to my parents over the weekend. My father needed my help. I'm lucky I brought the camera, so I could take this cool image if a spider.

I'm really satisfied with the result since I used my 28-105 crap lens... Almost all pictures I take with it is blurry! It seems like the focus is a few steps wrong, now since I know this there is not really a problem, but I mustn't rely on the auto focus.

I was sitting down and drinking a cup of coffee and I realized that windows is most intriguing, what is happening behind the reflection? who lives there?

Athene

By the way, the dog is my parenths, and her name is Athene, she might be the most cuddly creature in the world, if you start pet her she won't let you stop. She will purr and make funny noises if you do.

 Its, like she says "Please don't stop!"

A simple knot

It was so hot, so incredibly hot! I almost melted away. I think i drunk at least a million litres of water... well perhaps not so much, but it was so hot. then I saw this, a rope separating us from the Baltic see with a simple knot.

The sky

 The sky is a never ending source of photo opportunities!
 this one is taken in Tallinn. It was so incredibly hot and out of the blue this cloud emerged. I didn't only get slightly cooler, I was most fortunate to have my camera in my hand so I could take this photo. So what, might you say, thousands of photographers have taken similar images... Might be true but this is special, with it comes a special memory!

 

Tallinn

So we decided to take a "honey weekend" in Tallinn. When we got of the ferry we were struck by the heat! It was so incredibly hot that we almost melted away.

Tallinn is so incredibly beautiful. The old town offered me thousands of photo opportunitys and I can't possibly publish them all here so I've decided to only have a few images here.

I took this with my 400mm Tokina lens. It's really hard to take good pictures with it since I didn't have a tripod, and with the aps-c sensor it corresponds to 640mm. Had to make the shutter really short. But I'm pleased with the result, really like the bird on the chimney as well.

This image was a challenge since there were a group of Russian tourists there also taking thousands of images and thy didn't have the courtesy to wait, they just placed them self in front of my lens. Another difficulty was the shadows, could have used a tripod to make a HDR image. But I have no tripod. any suggestions for a good cheap light stable tripod?

New images and more...

I'm now a married man! We had a rather small reception at "Nääs slott" close to Gothenburg. Well not exactly in the castle but in this place Vänhem.

We made the table decoration our self, it was rather simple but we didn't want anything to fancy. A perfect place and time to practice photography. However I think I need a good flash and a tripod plus a nice macro lens. But all things has it's own time.


 

A few days before the wedding we were at my parents in Undenäs and I got the opportunity to make some landscaping photos I'm rather pleased with this one.

I have a new lens! It's incredible compared to my old 28-105...
We took a trip to Germany and the result was about 1300 images to catagorize. I will post some when done. Here below is Athene, my parents dog. Taken with my new lens.

Oh, dear.. . I'd like to have this as well.. The widest I have now is 28mm wich is 44,8mm with my APS-C sensor. It's a little bit annoying to not be able to take those nice wide angle images. Hmm.. So I have started to save! now i only have to save for like 1,5 year to afford this one:

Oh, I'd really, really, really liked to have a Canon 24-70 f/2,8L... I now feel that my old 28-105 isn't bright enough nor do I get the sharpness at the edges that I want. So... pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease

Canon EOS 60D

This is my camera with the 28-105 lens. Would really like to have a "wider" lens. I have been looking at the Sigma 10-20 f/3,5-4,5 lens and the Tokina 11-17 f/2,8. But there is a price tag to consider as well.

Removed ads..

WTF?!

Tried to have ads on my blogg but I think I reconsider...
I don't want ads on my page where it says "Do you want to be unfaithfull?" I'd like to have ads about perhaps photography etc...
Will see if there is some settings to set...

But for now no ads..

Old Uppsala

Took a trip to "Gamla Uppsala" to test my new camera.

I really like the new Canon EOS 60D

So I've decided to start a blogg

I don't really like to write... Hmm why on earth do you start a blogg then? Well the answer is simple I need to do something on the days. The semester in the university is over and now I have about three months ahead of me doing practically nothing... Well not true! I will get marrid this summer with the woman of my dreams! But apart from that I need something to do... So why not create a blogg?

I have reopend a chapter in my life and taken up photograpy so I hope I can post some images here as well. feel free to comment them (but please be kind but honest).

Oh, by the way, English isn't my mother tongue so if I have spelled wrong or written something compleatly uncomprehensive please let me know.

First entry

I want to keep it simple, no need to rush in to the complicated situations. Take the time to sit down think.
